The Chalana is coming...

Until the first guests can overnight on our new boat with its eight cabins, it will unfortunately take longer than planned. We and our partners in Cáceres have spent the last few months transforming an ordinary boat into a boat similar to a Mississippi steamer.
Anyone who has experience with Brazil knows that things do not always go as we Europeans imagine. For each stage of construction, the navy has to be informed and a date has to be arranged so that the corresponding stage can be approved. Again and again, our deadlines have been postponed, for many reasons - Corona, exercises, etc. and we have to be prepared for this. The staff on the spot are therefore in regular contact with the navy.
We are currently waiting for the Chalana to be approved soon so that it can leave and that the water level of the Paraguay River is high enough to make the 500 km journey from the reconstruction site to our mooring.
