All Year Round...
For the Pantanal, you don't need any special vaccinations.
Only the tetanus vaccination is recommended – just like everywhere else in the world.
There is no malaria in this region!
To protect against mosquitoes, use:
Water supply at the lodge
In the Pantanal, there are no clean streams or springs.
We use groundwater for the toilets, for washing, for the garden, and for the animals.
The water is purified naturally – through sedimentation and filters.
Our local stomachs tolerate this water well.
It's also fine for brushing your teeth.
For drinking, we get clean bottled water for you from Cuiabá.
We hope you understand that we charge the following prices for this bottled drinking water:
1.5 l table water (PET), 9 BRL
0.5 l table water (PET), 6 BRL
1.5 l sparkling mineral water (PET), 10 BRL

Our boats use paddles and quiet electric motors, as petrol engines disturb the wildlife. Please note, these tours are not possible from November to the end of May due to high water levels in Porto Jofre.
