3 days / 2 nights
Day 1: Cuiabá Airport - Ueso Pantanal Lodge (2 nights)
After picking up your luggage at the airport, you’ll be greeted by our UeSo Lodge transfer guide holding a sign «UeSo Pantanal» at the exit. From there, we head out—about 100 km to Poconé, followed by another 38 km along the legendary Transpantaneira. Keep your eyes open! You might already spot wildlife like caimans, capybaras, jabiru storks, and a variety of bird species along the way.
Once you arrive at the UeSo Pantanal Lodge, you’ll be able to enjoy a buffet meal—depending on your arrival time. Please note: if you arrive in Cuiabá after 10:30 a.m., lunch won’t be available. After 5:30 p.m., dinner isn’t served either. But don’t worry—we’ll provide a small packed lunch for you in that case. After lunch and a short siesta, we’ll head out on a guided walk through the surrounding nature. With some luck, you’ll spot even more wildlife along the trail. If you like, you can help scatter a bit of corn and salt along the path to attract animals. For the adventurous, we also offer an optional night walk to search for crepuscular wildlife. Don’t forget your flashlight!
Day 2: Ueso Pantanal Lodge
We start our sunrise walk early in the morning, around 5:00 AM, before breakfast.
Grab a quick cup of coffee or tea and head out to experience the awakening of the Pantanal – a magical natural show of light, sound, and life. After breakfast, it's time for a mule or horseback ride – the traditional way Pantaneiros get around. This activity is perfect even for beginners. You're welcome to join in when we saddle and unsaddle the animals. Of course, we provide riding helmets for your safety. In the afternoon, a peaceful boat tour awaits on the nearby Rio Novo or Rio Claro. We deliberately paddle instead of using motors – you're invited to join in if you'd like. This quiet approach helps us avoid disturbing shy animals. With a bit of luck, you might spot a family of giant otters, a variety of birds, or even a tapir or other mammals. Life jackets are, of course, provided.
