8 days / 7 nights
Day 1: Cuiabá Airport – Chapada dos Guimarães (2 Nights)
Upon your arrival at the airport, your guide will be waiting for you, holding a UeSo Lodge sign. From there, you will embark on a scenic 70 km drive to the picturesque Chapada dos Guimarães. This destination, located northeast of Cuiabá, sits atop a rugged plateau at an altitude of 836 meters above sea level. The breathtaking landscape is characterized by canyons, table mountains, caves, rivers, and waterfalls. It represents the third unique ecosystem in this region, following the Amazon rainforest to the north of Mato Grosso and the Pantanal.
Upon arrival in Chapada, you will check into one of our partner lodges. Lunch will be arranged based on your arrival time at the airport. Afterward, you will visit the "Mirante" viewpoint, which offers a spectacular panoramic view of the surrounding landscape. This viewpoint also marks the geographical center of South America. Next, you will embark on a varied hike through the table mountain range. Depending on the season and the regulations of the nature park, additional attractions may be visited. However, access to these sites is subject to facility opening hours, which frequently change and cannot be planned in advance. In the evening, you will return to Chapada dos Guimarães, where dinner awaits you. The rest of the evening is at your leisure, and you will spend the night at the lodge.
Day 2: Chapada dos Guimarães
After a hearty breakfast, we will visit the region’s largest waterfall, the famous «Bridal Veil Waterfall» also known as «Véu de Noiva» which plunges an impressive 70 meters into the depths.
Afterward, we will have lunch in the village of Chapada dos Guimarães. Following lunch and a short siesta, you will embark on a hike through the table mountain range. The day concludes with dinner at the lodge, where you will also spend the night.
Day 3: Chapada dos Guimarães – Pousada in Nobres (1 Night)
After breakfast, the journey continues to our partner lodge near Nobres. The drive covers approximately 150 km and takes around two hours. Upon arrival at the lodge, lunch will be served.
After lunch, you can take in the vibrant beauty of the surrounding landscape. Then, you will receive snorkeling gear to explore the fascinating underwater world of a crystal-clear spring. Here, you may encounter fish such as the Pintado, the Dorado, and various species of aquarium fish. Following this, you will drift leisurely down the river. In the late afternoon, you will visit Lagoa Azul, home to numerous bird species, including Araruna parakeets and various types of parrots. You will return to the lodge in time for dinner.
Day 4: Pousada in Nobres – UeSo Pantanal Lodge (2 Nights)
After breakfast, the journey continues directly into the Pantanal, covering 288 km, including 38 km on the famous Transpantaneira road. Along this unique route, we will make several stops to admire the region's diverse flora and fauna.
Upon arrival at the UeSo Pantanal Lodge, a buffet lunch awaits you. After a short afternoon break, you will embark on a walking safari, where, with a bit of luck, you might spot capuchin monkeys and perhaps even howler monkeys. Enjoy the breathtaking view from one of our observation towers before returning to the lodge for dinner.
